Autumn in the suburbs

by Dieu

(Inspired by fellow blogger, MomentswithMillie’s wonderful post about the changing of the season)

I generally dislike suburbia, but there is something quite charming and nostalgic about the suburbs in autumn. I think it is the tree-lined streets, the sight of seeing children catching the last bike-riding days before the coming of snow, and the sound of dry leaves blowing along the sidewalks. And then there is Halloween and Thanksgiving, and all the rituals of suburban life.

Photo taken in a neighbourhood near the King Edward School (about a 30 minute walk from my apartment and downtown): – and in the photo completing the whole theme of suburbia is yes, a station-wagon!
