Black and White

by Dieu

I wish I could take credit for this poem, but it is a gem that I came across a while back. It was in a gallery where a poetry reading was happening. I never did find out who it was by as it was on display with no name or credit given anywhere (most likely it was a local artist/writer). It’s a fairly simple poem, but is so honest and clear in expressing the experience of growing up. I would like to share it, so here it is.
