Photo Diary : I love libraries

by Dieu

I visited the Memorial Park Library for the first time today, and fell totally in love with it. Built in 1910-1912, and financed by wealthy American steel industrialist and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, the library is heavily influenced by the beaux-arts tradition. I do appreciate modern architecture, but sometimes it’s nice to see historical buildings, especially on a warm, fall day.
