Beautiful, Dieu. I love the VanGogh reference. I remember those days. I remember the feeling of being willing to die for beauty and truth. I can’t decide whether it is better to be that reckless or simply fade into complacency.
I feel the same way as you. Sometimes I think being young is too hard because you feel things so much more intensely, but I am looking forward to being complacent! If complacent means being completely comfortable with who I am and not caring what others think, then I do want that. But we humans are never satisfied…
